Reno-Tahoe’s Must-Do Fall Pumpkin Patches
If “visit the pumpkin patch” is on your fall to-do list, like many of ours, then Reno-Tahoe Territory is the place to be. Families looking for a way to enjoy the outdoors together during the region’s ideal fall temperatures have pumpkin patches in every corner of the territory to choose from. Or, visit them all! Here’s a list of Reno-Tahoe Territory’s must-do pumpkin patches and fall activities.
Corely Ranch in Carson Valley is a real working ranch raising cattle, farming, hay and of course, pumpkins! The Harvest Festival takes place each year the whole month of October, offering families that quintessential fall experience on a small-town, working farm. Activities include giant sling shot, train rides, and picking out the perfect pumpkin. Weekends bring food and other vendors onsite to complete the experience.
Virginia & Truckee Railroad Pumpkin Patch Train
For a different experience, head to Virginia City for the Virginia & Truckee Railroad Pumpkin Patch Train. Climb aboard the vintage railroad coach and enjoy a scenic voyage to the pumpkin patch where you’ll find a great variety of pumpkins to choose from. It’s two experiences in one – a train ride and a pumpkin patch!

For 25 years, the Ferrari Farms Fall Festival has delighted families in the Reno area. This 25-acre farm experience offers hay rides, a corn maze, pumpkin picking, crafts and much more. The property features a barn built in 1890 and makes a great place for those perfect fall family photos.
The Harvest Festival at Andelin Family Farm is a full day experience for families. Admission to the farm includes wagon rides, barrel train rides, mini zip lines, slide mountain, viewing and visiting the farm animals, a straw bale maze, corn maze and more activities. For an extra fee, check out the pony and horse rides, gem mining, a corn cannon, a 5-acre corn maze, onsite food vendors and of course, pumpkins!
Seelinger Elementary School Pumpkin Patch
In Carson City, head to the Seelinger Elementary Pumpkin Patch for a fun family day. The event features carnival games, face painting, wagon rides, a dunk tank, bake sale and much more. All proceeds from this event go to the school to help purchase supplies.
