Caldor Fire Update
As the air clears and firefighters from around the country continue to gain progress on the Caldor Fire, our region is beginning to open back up. Lake Tahoe is seeing more and more businesses opening at lodging properties, restaurants and outdoor recreational activities as the region begins to sweep into the fall season.
At more than 200,000 acres burned, this disaster has had a major impact on not only thousands of residents, but their businesses, the wildlife, and the ecosystem as a whole. Our region is grateful for the firefighters and first responders who are working tirelessly to keep our beautiful lands safe. Our hearts go out to those who have been affected by the Caldor Fire.
