Four Regions, One Unforgettable Reno-Tahoe Territory Road Trip
Reno-Tahoe Territory welcomed American Travel Archives for a multi-day journey through Carson Valley, South Lake Tahoe, North Lake Tahoe 
and Carson City. Their newly released video recap follows the trip from the ranching communities beneath the Sierra Nevada to Lake Tahoe’s famously clear water and Nevada’s historic capital.
The adventure began in Carson Valley, where visits to Minden, Gardnerville and Genoa introduced the travelers to Basque dining, welcoming local businesses and stories that helped shape Nevada. Stops at the Genoa Courthouse Museum and Mormon Station State Historic Park offered a closer look at the region’s connections to the California Trail, the Pony Express, Snowshoe Thompson and Ferris wheel inventor George Washington Gale Ferris Jr.
From Carson Valley, the journey climbed into the Sierra for time on both the south and north shores of Lake Tahoe. 
Lakeside trails, granite coves, scenic overlooks and stargazing experiences revealed different perspectives of one of the country’s most recognizable alpine destinations.
The final portion of the trip brought American Travel Archives to Carson City. There, the Nevada State Museum, Kit Carson Trail and Jack C. Davis Observatory combined state history, walkable exploration and another memorable night beneath Nevada’s expansive skies.
While each stop offered a different experience, the video highlights one of Reno-Tahoe Territory’s greatest strengths: travelers do not have to choose between mountain adventure, small-town character, cultural attractions and historic discovery. They can experience them all within a relatively short drive.
